Today is the memorial ceremony for Manuela, I've spent my entire evening working on what I'm going to say. That is now done. Now I have to work at getting a little emotional distance from the words. I need to be able to say them.
All that is to do, is to do what needs to be done.
Please, send me thoughts, prayers or any extra energy you have.
I'm gonna need it.
Dear Dave,
ReplyDeletepositive (and even a little loving) thoughts are on the way.
(And if you have to be emotional just let it happen. At funerals I can manage most of the time to keep myself togther. But when the remains coffin/urne are lowered into the earth, thats the time I am melting.)
Positive thoughts on the way for you and for Joe!!!!
Julia (from Germany)
Lots of thoughts and prayers headed your way. Remember that even if you get emotional, it will just convey the love and respect you had for Manuela.
ReplyDeleteSending good thoughts your way.You will be honouring your friend and being real. What a gift for everyone. I have been to too many services that I didn't recognize the person I was remembering.
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts and prayers - for you, and all her family and friends -
ReplyDeletenot much of a prayer person exactly, but sending warmth and support to you and to Joe, too.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you and the rest of the Vita family. May God Bless all of you with the spirt and spunk of Manuela today.
ReplyDeleteI had planned to attend today, but unfortunately have another funeral to go to instead.
ReplyDeleteMy support is there with you, as is all of us who want to be there but cannot make it for one reason or another.
Thinking of you, Dave.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get easier. It's right that it's not easy, though: it'd be dreadful not to mourn.
I'm sorry, that may not strike where you are now, It's just what came to mind. Wherever you are now, I hope there's comfort and fellowship, and room really to be there.
I've gathered up some good thoughts, good prayers, good wishes, and a bit of the good karma that I had on reserve. I'm presently boxing these up and sending them to you quickly.
ReplyDeleteYou will serve your friend well today!
I know that what you say and how you say it will be exactly what is needed at the time. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you, Dave (and Joe).

ReplyDeleteDave,
ReplyDeleteYou were wonderful today.
As always, your words hit home. It was a wonderful tribute to her and it is so true that we will still be seeing her in so many ways. I know I for one, will continue to grow as not only a staff but as a person because I want her work and dedication to keep going.
It was a beautiful memorial for a beautiful woman.
